Leo pressed his nose against the cold window, marveling at the endless expanse of snow. "Look, Mum, it’s just like in the pictures!" he exclaimed, his voice filled with excitement.
Maggie smiled warmly, her eyes reflecting the magical landscape. "It's even better than I imagined, Leo. Wait till we see Santa’s village," she replied, as they stepped off the plane and into the frosty air.
Leo could hardly contain his excitement as they approached the farm. Reindeer grazed nearby, their antlers dusted with snow. "Can we really ride in a sleigh, Mum?" he asked, his eyes wide with wonder.
Maggie nodded, laughing at his enthusiasm. "Yes, and we can also meet Santa. Let's go!" Together, they climbed into a sleigh, the jingling bells and soft whoosh of the runners adding to the magic of the moment.
Leo held tightly to his mother as the snowmobile sped through the snowy trails. The thrill of the ride was exhilarating, and soon they reached the mine, where a guide awaited them.
"Look at these stones, Mum," Leo said, his eyes shining as he held up a freshly mined amethyst. Maggie admired the stone’s deep purple hue, a souvenir of their adventure.
Leo giggled as he fed the gentle reindeer with lichen and pellets. "They're so soft and friendly!" he said, as the sleigh glided silently through the snow.
Maggie watched with a content smile, savoring the peaceful beauty around them. "This is what Christmas magic feels like," she thought, as they continued their enchanting journey.
Leo took a sip of his hot chocolate, a blissful expression crossing his face. "This is the best hot chocolate ever, Mum!" he declared, his cheeks flushed from the cold.
Maggie chuckled, watching him with love. "I think Lapland has a way of making everything extra special," she replied, as they settled into a cozy nook to watch the snowflakes dance outside, their hearts full of happiness.
Leo stood by the window, watching the snowflakes fall. "I’ll miss this place, Mum," he said softly, feeling a tinge of sadness mixed with gratitude for the experiences they shared.
Maggie hugged him tightly. "We’ll carry these memories with us, and who knows, maybe we’ll come back one day," she reassured him, as they prepared to leave the magical land that had touched their hearts so deeply.
