Kamari sat at her favorite blue table, her curly hair bouncing as she colored a big red apple. She looked up, noticing her hands were a little sticky from snack time. "Hmm, my hands feel yucky! What should I do before playing again?"
Ms. Green, the teacher, noticed Kamari's hesitation and waved her over. "Kamari, let’s wash our hands together! Washing hands keeps us healthy and ready for fun." Kamari skipped to the sink, excited to learn.
Kamari turned the tap and let the cool water run over her hands. She pumped a squirt of foamy soap and rubbed her hands together, making lots of tiny bubbles. "Look at all the bubbles! They’re chasing the germs away," she giggled.
Ms. Green counted, "Let’s sing the handwashing song! First, rub your palms, then the back of your hands, between your fingers, and don’t forget your thumbs and nails. Rinse and dry—now your hands are clean as new!" Kamari sang along, following every step with a big smile.
Kamari waved to her friends. "Come on, everyone! Let’s wash our hands before snack time so we stay happy and healthy together!" Her friends cheered and joined the handwashing fun.
Kamari felt proud of her shiny, clean hands. "Washing hands is easy and fun. Now we can play, eat, and learn with clean hands every day!" The whole class clapped, knowing they could all help keep their classroom bright and healthy.
