Kimmy, a cheerful toddler with bright pigtails, giggles as she sits in a circle of blocks. Her best pal, Furby, a playful Jack Russell with a spot over one eye, wags his tail excitedly.
"Furby, let’s build a big, tall tower!"
"Woof! Woof! Let’s do it, Kimmy!"
Furby jumps up, trying to help, but instead knocks the tower over. Blocks tumble in every direction. Kimmy looks surprised, her lower lip beginning to tremble.
"Oops! I’m sorry, Kimmy. I didn’t mean to,"
"It’s okay, Furby. You were just trying to help,"
Kimmy[/@ch_1] crawls over to Furby. Plush animals watch from a shelf while the world feels soft and safe.]
Kimmy wraps her arms around Furby, giving him a loving squeeze. Furby licks her cheek, tail wagging faster.
"I love you, Furby. You’re my best friend, even when things go kaboom,"
"I love you too, Kimmy! Let’s try again together,"
Kimmy[/@ch_1] and Furby carefully stack the blocks side by side. Each block is chosen with care, and the new tower grows taller and stronger.]
Kimmy shows Furby how to gently place a block, and Furby copies her, using his nose very carefully. The tower stands tall and beautiful, brighter than before.
"Look, Kimmy! We did it together!"
"Yay, Furby! We’re a good team when we help each other,"
Kimmy[/@ch_1] and Furby.]
Kimmy picks up a slice and offers it to Furby, who sniffs and gently nudges it back. Instead, he happily munches his treat, tail wagging in thanks.
"Furby, you don’t like apples, but that’s okay. You have your own yummy snacks,"
"Thank you for sharing, Kimmy. You always think of me,"
Kimmy[/@ch_1] and Furby snuggle up together in a cozy blanket fort made from chairs and pillows, surrounded by their favorite stuffed friends.]
Kimmy yawns and hugs Furby close, her eyelids fluttering shut. Furby curls up beside her, safe and loved.
"Good night, Furby. I love you big as the sky,"
"Good night, Kimmy. I’ll always be here for you,"
