Klhoe blinked, squinting at her reflection in the mirror. Everything looked blurry, the familiar sparkle of her favorite purple glasses missing from her face. She fumbled across her desk, pushing aside sketchpads and pencils, her heart thudding with worry.
"Where could they be? I can't see anything without them,"
Klhoe crawled on the carpet, peering into every shadowy corner. Her hands shook as she pulled out old toys and forgotten socks, but the glasses remained missing. She muttered to herself, voice thick with frustration.
"I need them for school. What if I never find them?"
Mom wiped her hands on a towel, turning to face Klhoe, who looked lost and worried.
"Mom, have you seen my sparkly purple glasses? I can't see anything without them,"
"Let’s retrace your steps from yesterday, sweetheart. Sometimes things turn up where you least expect,"
Klhoe wandered to the swing, her mom by her side. She knelt by the flowerbeds, searching for a glint of purple among the petals. The world felt hazy and uncertain, but she clung to hope with every step.
"Did you take off your glasses while you drew with sidewalk chalk yesterday?"
"Maybe... I can't remember,"
Klhoe gasped, stumbling forward on the path. She reached under the bush, fingers trembling, and closed around her precious glasses. Relief washed over her as she slid them onto her face, the world bursting back into vivid clarity.
"I found them! Everything’s bright again!"
"I knew you would, Klhoe. Just remember to put them somewhere safe next time,"
Klhoe traced the outlines of a sparkling purple butterfly, her creativity flowing once more. The fear and frustration faded, replaced by gratitude for small miracles found in morning light. She promised herself she’d never lose sight of the things that mattered most.
"I’ll always keep my sparkly purple glasses close from now on,"
