Larry the little boat gleamed in the morning light, his boat freshly painted and a bright smile on his face. The breeze waved the tiny flag as he looked out toward the open water, excited to explore. "Today's a perfect day for sailing!"
Tucked safely inside Larry's cabin was something special—his compass. It always pointed the way he needed to go. Larry felt reassured whenever he glanced at it, knowing it would guide him no matter what the ocean brought. "I'm sure I can get through anything with my Compass clearly calibrated" he whispered.
Some days, the ocean greeted Larry smoothly. The waves curled around him with friendly pats, making the journey feel like a joyful dance. On these easy days, Larry hummed songs as he sailed along, feeling the sun's warmth on his face.
But sometimes, the ocean changed. The waves grew loud and bumpy, crashing against Larry with restless force. Water splashed over his eyes, jolting him and making his smile fade. "I don't like this!" he cried, feeling the storm's anger creeping into his mind until he, too, felt angry and small.
Suddenly, a heavy fog settled all around. Larry slowed, looking into the gray emptiness where even the sun was hidden. He shivered, unsure which way to go. "I'm not sure where to go..." he whispered, the uncertainty pressing in like the fog.
The waves drifted Larry off course, and he began to drift wherever the ocean wanted. He felt lost, letting the current direct his path. The fog felt endless, and Larry wondered if he'd ever find his way again.
Suddenly, Larry remembered his compass! Even though the fog was thick and the storm still immense, the compass needle pointed, unwavering. Focus and clarity flickered inside him as he realized he still had a choice. "I can feel all of this... but I can still choose my way through," he said.
Daisy the Dolphin, a sea friend, surfaced by his side. Larry knew he couldn’t do this alone and found the courage to ask. "I think I need help," he admitted. "I'll help you see," replied Daisy, swimming ahead to help guide the way.
With Daisy guiding him and his compass pointing ahead, Larry moved forward, little by little. The waves lost their anger, and the fog slowly lifted, revealing glimmers of blue sky. Larry felt lighter, grateful for his friend and his compass, both helping him find his way.
The ocean remained vast, with new waves always waiting just beyond the horizon. But Larry wasn’t afraid anymore. He knew that no matter what the sea brought—gentle breeze or wild storm—he could feel it all and still choose his own direction. "I can feel anything... and still choose my way through," Larry said, his voice strong, his heart stable. And with each choice he made, he helped everyone around him move forward, too.
