Father Bear moves with calm confidence, his heavy pawprints pressed deep into the damp sand. Bear Cub, bright-eyed and eager, leaps beside him, occasionally stopping to marvel at shells and driftwood.
"Papa, how will we know when we've caught a fish?"
Father Bear gently adjusts Bear Cub’s fishing rod, showing him how to hold it steady. "Fishing is about patience, son. Sometimes the best things in life come to those who wait—and watch," he rumbles, his deep voice blending with the hush of the waves.
Bear Cub fidgets, glancing from his bobber to his father’s thoughtful face. "But what if nothing happens? What if we wait and wait, and there’s no fish at all?"
"Even if we don’t catch anything today, we learn by being together, by watching the water and listening to the world," Father Bear replies, a gentle smile softening his features.
"Sometimes, the sea gives you a fish. Sometimes, it gives you a story, or a lesson about patience and hope. Both are important," Father Bear continues, his gaze steady on the horizon.
"I think I like stories too," Bear Cub murmurs, nestling closer to his father’s side.
Bear Cub grips his rod, heart pounding, while Father Bear helps steady his paws. "I feel it, Papa! There really is something on the line!"
"Steady now. Remember what we practiced—trust your instincts and be gentle,"
"We did it! I’ll always remember this day,"
"That’s the real catch, son—the memory we made together," Father Bear says, wrapping his arm around Bear Cub. Their laughter mingles with the sound of the waves, echoing along the empty beach.
