Liam, a cheerful boy with tousled brown hair, hops out of the truck, excitement shining in his eyes. At his heels trots Roxy, his small black pug, whose tail wags furiously at the scent of adventure. The air is fresh with the earthy aroma of hay and soil, and the distant sound of mooing cows drifts over the fields.
"We made it, Roxy! Just look at all that space to run,"
Roxy sniffs curiously at everything, her nose twitching as she investigates clumps of hay and follows the fluttering chickens. Liam grins, watching his energetic pug dart after a runaway feather.
"Careful, Roxy! Those chickens are faster than they look," he laughs, trying to keep up.
Mr. Jenkins, the farm’s owner, stoops down to greet Roxy, who responds by licking his hand enthusiastically. Liam introduces himself, his voice bubbling with excitement.
"Glad to have you both! Would you like to help me feed the animals?"
Liam carefully pours grain into troughs while Roxy watches the sheep with wide, fascinated eyes. One curious lamb noses up to the pug, and Roxy gives a happy little bark.
"You’ve made a new friend, Roxy! Maybe you’re part sheepdog today,"
Liam munches on a sandwich while Roxy enjoys her treat, both relaxing in the gentle breeze. The distant sound of a tractor is a steady hum, and the sky above is a brilliant blue.
"This is the best day ever, Roxy. We should come back every weekend,"
Liam gives Mr. Jenkins a grateful hug, and Roxy barks goodbye to her new animal friends. The farm is quieter now, but the memories shimmer in the fading light.
"Goodbye, farm! We’ll be back soon,"
