Liam wakes up with a big grin, his messy blond hair sticking up in every direction. He wiggles his toes in the soft blanket, feeling excited for a new day. Sunbeams flicker on his cheeks as he looks around his cheerful bedroom.
Liam spots something magical. He crawls to the windowsill and stares at the tiny seed, wondering where it came from. "Wow! A shiny seed. I wonder what will happen if I plant it?"
Liam waters the pot, watching the drops sparkle in the light. He smiles, hoping for a sunflower to grow. Every day, he checks the pot and gives it more water and gentle words.
Liam feels worried when nothing seems to happen. He sits next to his mom, his eyes big and round. "Will my seed ever grow?" His mom hugs him close. "Sometimes, waiting is like hoping for sunshine after the rain," she says softly.
Liam's joy bursts like sunlight as he shouts, "It’s growing! My sunflower is waking up!" He lifts the pot and rushes outside, the sprout wiggling in the breeze.
Liam sits beneath the giant flower, feeling its shade and the warmth of the afternoon sun. He smiles at the sunflower, knowing he waited and cared and now sees the magic of patience. "Good things take time, and love helps them grow," he whispers, hugging the pot tightly.
