Lila presses her nose to the window, eyes wide with wonder as she watches tiny streams form on the glass. She can hear the soft pattering of rain, each drop dancing across the world outside.
"I wish I could know where raindrops go when they leave the sky,"
She steps outside, twirling in her yellow raincoat, delighting in the cool kiss of rain on her cheeks.
Suddenly, the glowing raindrop quivers and leaps into the air, growing brighter until it hovers before Lila. The raindrop's surface ripples, forming a tiny, smiling face.
"Hello, Lila! My name is Drip, and I'm a magical raindrop. Would you like to see where I go on my journey?"
Lila's eyes widen in delight as she nods excitedly.
"First, I get warmed by the sun and turn into invisible water vapor," Drip explains, his body beginning to shimmer and fade.
Lila watches in amazement as Drip floats upward, becoming part of a spiral of glowing mist.
"So, you disappear into the air? That's like magic!"
"It's science—evaporation! The sun gives me energy to escape into the sky," Drip laughs, spinning gently in the air.
"Up here, I meet other drops and we form a cloud," Drip says as he merges with a cluster of sparkling droplets.
Lila finds herself floating beside Drip, gazing down at the patchwork fields far below. The cloud feels soft and cool, like a mountain made of cotton.
"It’s like a big, fluffy gathering," she giggles, reaching out to touch the misty edges.
"When we get heavy enough, we fall back down as rain," Drip shouts gleefully, tumbling through the sky.
Lila clings to Drip as they rush downward, wind whistling in her ears. The colors blur, and she feels the exhilarating freedom of flight.
"We're going home!" she laughs, heart pounding with excitement.
Lila lands softly, watching Drip wink at her from a puddle.
"Remember, the water cycle is happening all around you, all the time. Science helps us see the magic in everyday things,"
Lila grins, feeling the world is full of wonder waiting to be discovered.
"Thank you, Drip. I can't wait to learn more,"
