Lila awoke with a smile, eager to see her friends at school. She brushed her teeth quickly and slipped into her favorite red shoes, feeling ready for the adventures ahead.
Lila waved energetically to her neighbor. Kuya Ben was busy sweeping the sidewalk. "Good morning, Kuya Ben!" she called out with a big smile.
"Good morning, Lila! Have a good day at school!" he replied warmly, his face lighting up at her cheerful greeting.
Lila approached the school gate and saw Teacher Joy standing by the entrance. "Good morning, Teacher Joy!" she waved enthusiastically.
"Good morning, Lila! You’re so polite," Teacher Joy responded, appreciating the young girl's kindness.
Tom, Lila's best friend, was rifling through his pencil case. "Hi Tom! What are you looking for?" she asked, noticing his puzzled expression.
"I can’t find the red crayon," he admitted, looking a bit worried.
"Oh, I have one! Here you go," Lila said, handing him her crayon.
"Thank you, Lila!" Tom smiled, grateful for her help.
"You’re welcome!" she replied, happy to assist.
Lila waved to her teacher and friends. "Goodbye, Teacher Joy! Goodbye, friends!" she called out, walking away with a light heart.
Lila recounted her day to her mom, the excitement in her voice evident. Mom listened intently. "I’m proud of you, Lila," she said softly. "You made so many people smile just by being kind and polite."
Lila beamed, feeling content and happy as her mom hugged her tightly.
