Lilly was busy building a tower with her blocks when she spotted a colorful envelope peeking out from under her bed. With curiosity sparkling in her big eyes, she rushed over and picked it up. Opening it, she read aloud, "Dear Lilly, you have an appointment at the dentist!" Her heart raced with a mix of excitement and worry.
Lilly found her in the kitchen, preparing lunch. "Mom! I got a letter! I have to go to the dentist!" she exclaimed, her voice trembling slightly.
Sara turned with a warm smile, "That’s wonderful, Lilly! But I can see you're a bit nervous. What’s bothering you?"
"What if it hurts? What if the dentist is scary?" she asked, her eyes wide with concern.
Sara knelt down beside her, offering a comforting hug. "Sweetheart, the dentist is there to help you, and I’ll be right by your side. You can ask questions, and I promise it will be okay!"
"Really? You’ll be there with me?" she asked, her voice softening. Sara nodded enthusiastically, "Absolutely! And who knows, you might even get a sticker for being brave!"
"Okay, I can do this!" Lilly declared, a smile breaking through her initial fears. The two shared a laugh as they prepared for their adventure to the dentist together.
