Lily the Ladybug bustled around her fruit stand, humming a cheerful tune. Her tiny wings flickered in the morning sunlight as she arranged plump berries in neat rows. She loved mornings like this, when the world was fresh and full of possibilities.
Bella the Butterfly, her wings shimmering in the light, hovered excitedly near the berries. "Hello, Lily! These berries look delicious! How much for one?"
Lily smiled warmly. "Just 5 cents for one, Bella. Let me see what I have here," she said, peering at the coins before her. Lily picked up a shiny nickel and examined the rest, her antennae twitching in concentration.
"What if we use pennies and dimes instead?" Bella suggested, her eyes twinkling with curiosity. Together, they explored combinations, stacking coins into little towers.
Lily clapped her tiny hands together. "We did it! Here's your berry, Bella," she said, passing the juicy fruit to her friend. Bella giggled, her wings fluttering with delight.
"Thank you, Lily. This was so much fun!" Bella chirped, nibbling on her berry. Lily beamed, her heart swelling with joy. "Anytime, Bella. I'm glad we could learn together," she replied, feeling grateful for the friendship that made her days so bright.
