Little Alex lay curled up snugly on Batgirl's sofa, his breaths deep and even as he slept. The room was peaceful, with only the gentle ticking of a wall clock to disturb the silence. But suddenly, the tranquility was shattered by the thumping bass of loud music resonating through the walls.
Alex sat up groggily, rubbing his eyes as he made his way to Batgirl's bedroom. "I can't sleep," he mumbled, his voice barely audible over the music. Batgirl, in her casual attire but still exuding a sense of heroism, looked toward the window, her brows furrowed.
Batgirl marched down the hallway, each step filled with determination. Knocking on the neighbor's door, she was greeted by a blast of music as it swung open. "Could you please turn down the music? Alex can't sleep," she requested politely, her voice firm yet understanding.
The neighbor, a tall man with a dismissive smirk, shrugged nonchalantly. "You shouldn't play babysitter for the little one," he retorted, before slamming the door shut, leaving Batgirl standing in the dimly-lit hallway, frustration etched on her face.
Batgirl returned to Alex, her mind racing for a solution. With a determined nod, she picked up her phone and called the police, explaining the situation. The officers were swift and efficient, threatening to confiscate the sound system if the music wasn't turned down.
The music finally came to a stop, and Alex nestled back into the sofa, a contented sigh escaping as he snuggled closer to Batgirl. The room was peaceful once more, and as Alex drifted back into slumber, Batgirl watched over him, ensuring the night remained undisturbed.
