Little Bill tiptoed through the hallway, clutching his favorite teddy bear. His heart thumped wildly as a cold draft swept through the air, rattling the curtains. Suddenly, a ghostly figure draped in white floated past the doorway, its eyes glowing softly in the dim light.
"Wh-who’s there?" He stammered, voice barely above a whisper. The figure disappeared, only to be replaced by another floating specter—a tall, looming shape with a gentle, fatherly voice.
Ghost Mom, with her flowing hair, reached out her arms. Ghost Dad drifted beside her, nodding slowly. Ghost Grandma and Ghost Grandpa hovered near the fireplace, their faces kind but mysterious.
"Don’t be afraid, Little Bill," they whispered in unison, their voices echoing eerily through the room. But Little Bill could not contain his terror. He bolted out of the living room, the ghosts’ gentle calls fading behind him.
Little Bill pounds on the door, breathless and soaked. The door swings open to reveal Geo Umizoomi, standing in a cozy, well-lit hallway, surrounded by math tools and colorful gadgets.
"Geo! You won’t believe it! My house is haunted! There was a ghost mom, a ghost dad, a ghost grandma, and a ghost grandpa!" His words spill out in a rush, his eyes wide with fear.
"Don’t worry, Little Bill! Team Umizoomi can solve any mystery. Let’s go back to your house and see what’s really going on," Geo assures him with a confident smile.
Together, they gather a flashlight, a magnifying glass, and a notebook. The two friends set off into the night, determination replacing Little Bill’s fear.
Geo tiptoes over and gently opens the door. Inside are Little Bill’s friends—April, Andrew, Kiku, and Fuchsia—each wrapped in white sheets and holding glow sticks.
"Surprise! We wanted to play a spooky game with you!" April explains, as the others laugh and pull off their costumes.
Little Bill hugs his friends, grateful the ghosts were only a prank. Geo Umizoomi grins, happy to have helped solve the mystery.
"Next time you want to play ghosts, let me know first! But… maybe not on a stormy night," Little Bill jokes, and everyone bursts into giggles. The house is safe, the mystery solved, and the night ends with friendship and fun.
