Little Bill quickens his pace, eyes darting nervously. Suddenly, a translucent figure floats from behind the bushes, its ghostly form shimmering in the dim light.
"Aaaaah! A ghost! Help!" he cries, stumbling backward as the apparition glides closer.
Little Bill sprints past the slide, glancing over his shoulder at every turn. He can almost hear the ghostly whispers trailing him, sending chills down his spine.
"I have to find Geo Umizoomi! Maybe they know what to do," he pants, heading towards the bright, colorful math playground where his friends often meet.
Geo Umizoomi, a clever problem solver with a friendly smile, looks up as Little Bill rushes in, wild-eyed and desperate.
"Geo, you won't believe it! There's a ghost chasing me everywhere—at the park, by my house, even here!"
"Whoa, Little Bill, slow down! Tell me what happened from the beginning. Maybe we can figure this out together,"
Geo Umizoomi examines the glittery trail and footprints, thinking out loud about what could make a ghostly glow. Little Bill describes the ghost’s appearance, voice trembling.
"Hmm, it sounds like you saw something shiny and floating, but ghosts usually don’t leave footprints..."
"I was so scared I barely looked! I just ran and ran,"
Geo Umizoomi and Little Bill step closer, and the "ghost" jumps out, laughing. The sheet slips off, revealing Max, Little Bill's mischievous neighbor, who loves playing pranks.
"Gotcha, Little Bill! I just wanted to see if I could scare you. Sorry if I went too far,"
"Max! You really had me fooled. I thought you were a real ghost!"
"Mystery solved! Next time, maybe try a less scary prank,"
Little Bill feels his heart settle as he realizes he’s surrounded by friends. Geo Umizoomi gives a reassuring hug, and Max promises to be more careful.
"I'm glad everything turned out okay. Thanks for helping me, Geo,"
"Anytime, Little Bill! That’s what friends are for,"
"Next time, I'll just invite you to play hide and seek instead,"
