Little Bill tiptoed down the corridor, clutching his flashlight tightly. His heart pounded as he passed a dusty old painting, and suddenly, from just ahead, a ghostly figure shimmered into view, its eyes glowing and fabric swirling eerily. Frozen in terror, Little Bill's mouth dropped open, and he let out a shriek, dropping his flashlight as he ran for his life.
Little Bill dashed out the double doors, barely catching his breath, and spotted Geo Umizoomi tinkering with a gadget under a lamplight. "Geo! I saw a ghost inside! It was floating and glowing and—I've never been so scared in my life!" Geo Umizoomi looked up, eyes wide but determined, and quickly packed up the gadget, ready to help.
"Let's go together and find out what really happened, Little Bill. We can solve this mystery as a team," Geo Umizoomi said, giving a reassuring smile. They crept back inside, sticking close, and rounded a corner—only for the ghost to appear again, drifting through the air with a hollow moan. Both Little Bill and Geo Umizoomi yelped and bolted back toward the exit.
"There's a ghost! We saw it—twice!" "We need everyone's help! Maybe together we can figure out what's going on," Little Bill and Geo Umizoomi shouted. A group forms quickly, flashlights and phones in hand, and bravely, they all march inside, determined to face the ghost as a team.
One of the neighbors gently pulls the sheet away, revealing Bobby, the local prankster, sheepishly holding a flashlight and some glow sticks. "I just wanted to give everyone a little scare for Halloween! I didn't think it would work this well," Bobby admits, grinning nervously. Laughter erupts from the group, and the tension melts away.
Little Bill and Geo Umizoomi join the others in telling the tale of the mysterious ghost, feeling proud and relieved that they faced their fears together. "Next time, let's solve a mystery with less running!" "And maybe fewer ghosts," Little Bill adds, grinning as everyone cheers for their bravery and teamwork.
