Little Bill rummaged through his messy closet, tossing aside capes and hats. His face scrunched in worry as he realized his ghost costume was missing. Halloween was only hours away, and he didn’t know what to do.
Dora, Blue, and Kai-Lan hurried to Little Bill’s side, concern written on their faces. "Don’t worry, Little Bill! We’ll help you find it. I remember when I lost my backpack once—everyone helped me look, and we found it under the bed!" "I lost my paw print book last week. It was in my toy box all along!" "Let’s think, Little Bill. Where did you last see your costume?"
"I wore my costume when I pretended to be a ghost yesterday, and I was so sleepy after that, I think I just tossed it somewhere," Little Bill said, his voice tinged with hope. "Let’s retrace your steps. Sometimes, things are just hiding close by," suggested Dora. The friends began searching together, checking under cushions, behind curtains, and inside drawers.
"Look! Something white and spooky is peeking out from behind that jacket," Blue barked, wagging her tail. Little Bill reached in and pulled out his ghost costume, grinning with relief. "I can’t believe it was here all along! Thank you, everyone," he laughed, hugging his friends.
"Mom, Little Bill lost his costume, but we all worked together and found it in his closet. It was just hiding!" Dora’s mom smiled warmly, pride shining in her eyes. Dora’s Mom patted Dora’s shoulder. "That’s wonderful teamwork, Dora. Helping friends is what makes every day special,"
Little Bill, dressed as a friendly ghost, twirls around with Dora, Blue, and Kai-Lan. The room glows with happiness, and everyone feels closer than ever. "This is the best Halloween ever, thanks to all my friends!"
