Yuaan tugged eagerly at his father’s shirt, his bright eyes full of determination. "Daddy, today I'm going to catch the biggest fish!" he declared with a confident grin.
Dad chuckled warmly, ruffling Yuaan's hair. "Alright, little fisherman, let's see what you've got!"
As Dad set up his fishing rod, Yuaan unwrapped his tiny pole with great care. He picked up a wiggly worm, scrunching his nose but determined to do it himself. With a swing of his small arms, he cast the line into the lake.
"Why won't the fish come, Daddy?" Yuaan asked, shifting impatiently.
"Fishing takes patience, buddy," Dad replied. "Sometimes the fish are shy."
"Daddy! I got one!" he squealed, struggling to keep hold of his rod.
Dad quickly knelt beside him, steadying the pole. "Keep going, Yuaan! You're doing great!" he encouraged.
The water splashed vigorously as a shiny fish emerged, wiggling on Yuaan's hook. It wasn’t the biggest fish, but to Yuaan, it was magnificent.
Yuaan held his yellow bucket up triumphantly as Dad helped unhook the fish. "I caught a real fish!" he shouted, his face beaming with pride.
They gently placed it in the bucket for a quick photo before releasing it back into the lake. "Bye, fishy! Tell your friends I'll catch them next time!" Yuaan waved.
On the way home, Yuaan couldn’t stop recounting his adventure, his voice full of excitement. "Fishing is my favorite thing ever!" he declared, already planning his next expedition.
Dad smiled, knowing this was the beginning of many more adventures for his little fisherman.
