Pedro, a small boy with tousled brown hair and bright, curious eyes, sits cross-legged on the floor, surveying his kingdom of toys. His mother’s voice floats in from the kitchen, mingling with the smell of toast and cocoa. Pedro frowns, deep in thought, as he lines up his action figures. "Mama, how do people know what they want to be when they grow up?"

Mama turns from the counter, her eyes crinkling with a smile as she sees Pedro appear in the doorway. She sets down a plate of toast, kneeling to his level. "Sometimes, you try on lots of dreams until you find the one that fits," she says softly. Pedro nods, considering, as he takes a thoughtful bite.
Pedro sits on a bench beside his best friend Lila, a spirited girl with pigtails and a gap-toothed grin. "I’m going to be an astronaut," she declares, holding up a handmade paper rocket. "Maybe I’ll be a scientist and build rockets with you," Pedro replies, his eyes shining with possibility.
Pedro stands in awe as Firefighter Ben, tall and kindly, kneels to show him a shiny red helmet. "Being a firefighter means helping people when they need it most," he explains, voice gentle and encouraging. "That sounds important. Maybe I could do that too," Pedro muses, his heart pounding with excitement.

Mama peeks in, watching her son fill the page with dreams. "Mama, I still don’t know what I’ll be. There are so many things I like!" "That’s okay, Pedro. You have all the time in the world to decide. And maybe you’ll be lots of things," she whispers, hugging him close.

Pedro's eyelids grow heavy as he dreams of flying rockets, saving kittens, and inventing marvelous machines. In his dreams, he becomes everything he ever imagined—each day a new adventure waiting to begin. The world, vast and bright, stretches before him, full of endless possibilities.
