Lulu was a little girl with a heart as big as the sky, but she had a hard time sharing her toys. One crisp afternoon, she sat in her bedroom, surrounded by a mountain of dolls, stuffed animals, and colorful blocks, each an island in her personal kingdom.
Lulu's Mom, Sarah, called out from the kitchen, "Lulu, your friends are here for the playdate!" With a sigh, Lulu reluctantly left her kingdom of toys, dragging her feet to the living room where her friends awaited eagerly.
Emma, one of Lulu's friends, picked up a doll and asked, "Can I play with this one, Lulu?" Lulu hesitated, holding onto the doll tightly. Ben, another friend, was building a tower with blocks, and looked up, "We can all have fun together, right?"
Lulu watched as her friends started playing together without her, their laughter ringing in the air. A pang of loneliness hit her, and she realized the joy she was missing by not joining in. She took a deep breath and approached them, her heart pounding.
Lulu finally extended her doll to Emma with a shy smile, "You can play with her, Emma." Emma beamed back, "Thanks, Lulu! Let's play together!" The group cheered, as Lulu felt a warmth spread through her, understanding the happiness that came from sharing.
As the playdate came to an end, Sarah looked at Lulu with pride, "I saw you sharing today, Lulu. How did it feel?" Lulu nodded, her eyes bright, "It felt good, Mom. I like playing with my friends." And with that, she learned that the joy of sharing was much greater than the joy of keeping things to herself.
