Luma scrunched up her nose and pulled the covers over her head. The day had been full of big feelings, and being told to go to bed made her feel even smaller.
"No one ever listens to me," she whispered, wishing the night would just go away.
Luma peeked out from her covers. The rug had turned into a winding silver path, and the ceiling was now a sky of glowing lanterns. Her bookshelf sprouted tiny trees, each leaf sparkling like a wish.
"Am I dreaming?" she wondered, tiptoeing into the glowing, mossy garden that had blossomed from her bedroom.
A cloud-creature bounced up, its fur twinkling like the Milky Way. Mossly, the mossy giant, knelt to offer a velvety paw. Starbelle, glowing like a lantern, floated in the air.
"Welcome, little one. Will you be our Moon Queen tonight?"
"Me? But I'm too small," said Luma, her voice barely a flutter.
Starbelle twirled slowly, casting soft light over Luma.
"Every Moon Queen starts small. We see you, bright as a star,"
"Come, dance with us. The Moon Garden needs your dreams,"
Luma hesitated, her heart fluttering like a moth, but she stepped forward and took Mossly's gentle paw.

The creatures spun in gentle loops, their movements as light as clouds. Luma lifted her hands, and a crown of moonflowers settled on her head. Lanterns swirled around them, painting everything in cozy, magical light.
"I am the Moon Queen," she whispered, her small voice full of wonder.

Luma looked up at the moon, glowing bright and far away.
"I think... I miss home," she murmured, hugging her knees.
"Big feelings are welcome here," said Mossly. "The Moon Garden will wait for you, always,"
Luma blinked, and her bedroom appeared around her—soft, safe, and warm. The moonlight still kissed her pillow, and the plush animals seemed to smile.
"Home is where my dreams begin," she sighed, cuddling into her covers, the Moon Garden's magic still glowing in her heart.
