Bob the Mouse sits curled in a patchwork blanket, his whiskers twitching and his curious eyes watching Mom as she hums a sweet tune. Dad sits nearby, spectacles perched on his nose, the morning paper rustling softly in his paws. Tabitha stands by the mirror, carefully tying her favorite red bow just right.
"I love quiet mornings," Bob the Mouse whispers, cuddling deeper into his blanket as the warm sunlight dances across his fur.
Mom pours warm tea, her smile as bright as the morning sun. Dad reads a funny story, making everyone giggle. Tabitha gently nudges Bob.
"Let’s go outside and see what adventures are waiting for us, Bob!"
"Okay," Bob replies, feeling a tiny flutter in his tummy but trusting his big sister's paw.
Tabitha leads the way along a winding path, her red bow bright against the green. Bob tiptoes beside her, his nose twitching at every new scent. Ladybugs parade along a blade of grass, and a shiny pebble glints by the path.
"Look, Tabitha! A pebble that shines like a tiny moon,"
"Let’s keep it for our treasure box," Tabitha grins, and Bob smiles, feeling the world is more friendly with her beside him.
Dad stands at the edge of Acorn Acres, his arms open wide.
"Home time, little explorers,"
Bob slips his paw into Tabitha's, their shadows stretching long behind them as they walk into the cozy burrow.
Dad tells a funny story about a squirrel who lost his socks. Mom listens, her eyes twinkling. Bob feels happy and full, snuggled between his family.
"Today was a good day," Bob says, as Tabitha squeezes his paw.

Dad reads a bedtime tale, his voice low and soothing. Mom tucks the covers close, planting a kiss on Bob's forehead. Tabitha leans over, her bow brushing his cheek.
"Goodnight, Bob,"
Bob closes his eyes, listening to the woods whisper softly outside. He feels safe, loved, and warm. All is still in the burrow, and the moon keeps watch as he drifts into dreams.
