Mia, her auburn hair glowing in the fading light, walks alongside her younger brother, Jason. He kicks pebbles along the path, his gaze flitting between the swings and the pond.
"Hey, how about a piggyback ride?" Mia suggests with a mischievous grin.
"No way!" Jason protests, crossing his arms defiantly.
"Too late!" She laughs, scooping him up onto her back with a swift, practiced motion.
Jason squirms, trying to wriggle free, "Put me down, Mia!" He shouts, half annoyed, half amused.
"Not until we're home," Mia replies, her eyes sparkling with teasing determination.
"I can walk myself," insists Jason, attempting another escape.
"You think you can escape?" Mia teases, holding him securely, "I'll always be there to pick you up, whether you like it or not."
Jason finally gives in, resting his chin on Mia's shoulder, "Okay, fine. But only this once."
"Deal," Mia agrees, feeling the warmth of their bond despite his reluctant words.
Mia gently sets Jason down, ruffling his hair affectionately.
"Next time, I'm definitely walking," Jason declares, though a smile tugs at his lips.
Mia laughs, "We'll see about that."
