Milo crouched beside the river, her eyes wide with wonder as she traced shapes in the mud. She tilted her head, pondering the mysteries of the world around her—why the sky was so blue, and if trees could whisper secrets.
"Why do stars twinkle? Can trees talk?"
Milo reached down and brushed away the dirt, revealing a tiny golden seed that gleamed in her palm. Suddenly, the world seemed to hush, and a soft, mysterious voice floated on the breeze.
"Plant me… and believe,"
Milo glanced around, startled, but saw no one. Her heart fluttered with excitement and uncertainty.
Milo hurried home, her shoes muddy and her spirit bright. She nestled the golden seed deep into the soil and set the pot in a sunlit spot. Each day, she watered it and whispered words of encouragement.
"Grow, little seed. I believe in you,"
Days passed, and nothing changed. Shadows grew longer, and Milo’s hope began to wane.
Milo sighed and curled up in bed, feeling disappointment tug at her heart. She stared at the pot, wondering if the seed was ordinary after all.
"Maybe it's just an ordinary seed,"
But before sleep claimed her, she whispered one last promise.
"I still believe,"
Milo gasped in delight, her eyes wide as she watched the sprout grow into a beautiful silver tree. The tree’s branches danced, and its leaves glowed in every color of the rainbow.
"Yes, we can talk,"
Milo blinked, astonished.
"You can?!"
The tree replied in a warm, gentle voice.
"Only to those who believe,"
Milo carried the tree’s magical fruits to her neighbors, watching as gardens flourished and sadness melted away. Joy blossomed throughout the village, filling every corner with hope and laughter. In the evenings, the tree’s soft glow brought peace.
The tree spoke softly to Milo, its voice filled with kindness.
"My magic was never in the seed. It was in your belief,"
Milo watched as the tree faded into a shower of golden seeds, each one carrying a spark of hope. From that day forward, she never stopped believing—in magic, in kindness, and, most importantly, in herself.
