Sara, a five-year-old girl with curly hair and a wide smile, sat at a small table, her tiny hands busy crafting a colorful paper flower. Around her, other children giggled and played, but Sara's thoughts were far away. "I miss Mommy," she whispered to herself, glancing up at the clock on the wall. Each tick seemed slower than the last, marking the minutes until they would be reunited.
In her imagination, Sara saw her mommy, Superhero Mommy, flying through the air, cape fluttering behind her. Superhero Mommy was saving the day, rescuing kittens from trees and helping lost balloons find their way back to their owners. "Mommy is so brave and strong," Sara thought, her eyes sparkling with pride.
Sara carefully glued the petals of her paper flower, determined to make it beautiful for her mommy. Her fingers sticky with glue, she imagined presenting the flower as a gift. "Mommy will love this," she said aloud, a smile spreading across her face.
Sara tidied her table, glancing at the clock again. She felt a flutter of excitement in her tummy, knowing that soon Mommy would be there to take her home. "Just a little longer," she told herself, hugging her flower close.
Sara's heart leaped as she saw Mommy walk through the door. She ran into her arms, the paper flower clutched between them. "I made this for you, Mommy!" Sara exclaimed, her voice full of joy.
Mommy admired the flower, her eyes soft with love. "It's beautiful, just like you," she said, and Sara beamed with happiness. Together, they headed home, Sara chattering about her day, her heart full and content. As they strolled, Sara knew that even though she missed Mommy during the day, their time together was the best adventure of all.
