Molly Polly Feigley, a curly, blonde-haired, blue-eyed kindergartener, wiggled her toes under the covers, excitement bubbling in her chest. Today was her first day of school, and she couldn't wait to meet new friends and discover what adventures awaited her. Her mother, Mrs. Feigley, peeked into the room with a warm smile. "Time to get up, Molly," she said gently.
Molly bounded into the kitchen, her hair bouncing with every step. "I'm ready for school, Mama!" she exclaimed, climbing onto a chair. Mrs. Feigley placed a plate of pancakes in front of her, topped with strawberries and a dollop of whipped cream. "Eat up, my little adventurer," she encouraged, ruffling Molly's curls.
Molly stood on the curb, her backpack almost as big as she was. She waved enthusiastically as Mrs. Feigley watched from the porch. "Have a wonderful day, Molly!" she called. Mr. Thompson, the friendly bus driver, greeted her with a smile. "First day, huh? You'll do great!"
Molly entered the classroom, her eyes wide with wonder. The room was a kaleidoscope of colors, with drawings and crafts adorning the walls. Ms. Jenkins, the kind-hearted teacher, knelt down to Molly's level. "Welcome, Molly! We're going to have so much fun today," she said warmly.
Molly found herself on the playground, her heart racing with excitement. She spotted a group of kids gathered around the sandbox and decided to join them. Tommy, a friendly boy with glasses, looked up and grinned. "Hey, want to build a sandcastle with us?" "Yes, please!" Molly replied eagerly, feeling welcomed and thrilled.
As the school day came to an end, Molly felt a happy tiredness in her bones. She had made new friends and learned so much. Ms. Jenkins gave each child a hug goodbye. "See you all tomorrow!" she chirped. "I can't wait," Molly beamed, already dreaming of the adventures yet to come.
