I sat at my desk, gazing at the clean white paper in front of me. The sounds of birds chirping outside mixed with the gentle hum of the house, creating a peaceful backdrop for my thoughts. As I remembered my art homework, I felt both excitement and a little nervousness flutter in my chest.
I picked up my pencil and considered what to draw. There were so many ideas swirling in my mind, but one image stood out—a house, sturdy and welcoming. I pictured it nestled in a lush green yard, with tall sunflowers leaning against its walls and a winding path leading to its front door.
Carefully, I sketched the tall roof, making sure it looked grand and steep. My hand moved to draw the large door, imagining how it would swing open to greet visitors. Windows framed the house, each one filled with imaginary light, while I added small details like a chimney and a garden fence.
With the drawing complete, I reached for my colored pencils. Blue and purple were my favorite, so I started coloring the walls a bright, cheerful blue and the roof a rich, deep purple. As I filled in each section, the house transformed from simple lines to a vivid, dreamy home that seemed to glow on the page.
I set my pencil down and leaned back to admire my work. The house looked even better than I imagined, its colors bold and inviting. A warm, proud feeling blossomed inside me as I realized I had created something beautiful all on my own.
I smiled to myself, happiness bubbling up as I looked at my colorful house. Art homework didn’t seem so hard anymore—especially when I could fill it with my favorite colors and a little bit of my own imagination. For a moment, everything felt wonderful, just like the house I had drawn.
