With my heart racing, I stepped into the vibrant world of Oxford Kindergarten, clutching my beloved toy dinosaur tightly. The welcome was a kaleidoscope of colors and sounds; walls adorned with bright, smiling suns and rainbow-painted clouds, while children, full of life, darted around like little comets.
Lily, a lovely ray of sunshine, came over with a big smile that could light up the gloomiest day. Her kind eyes sparkled behind her glasses as she crouched down to be eye-to-eye with me. "Welcome to Oxford Kindergarten! I’m so excited for all the fun we’re going to have today!" she said, her voice as comforting as a favorite song.
Outside, the playground beckoned, an oasis of fun and potential new friendships. Swings soared high, laughter echoed off the slides, and a sandbox awaited the next architectural masterpiece. I spotted a group huddled around a mound of sand, where a castle was slowly emerging.
Feeling a mix of excitement and shyness, I wandered over to a group playing with a jigsaw puzzle on a bright, patchwork rug. One of them, a girl with curly hair and a contagious grin, looked up and waved. "Hi! Want to help us finish?" she invited, her eyes sparkling with welcome.
As we worked together on the puzzle, piece by piece, the nervousness faded, replaced by a growing sense of belonging. We laughed at the funny shapes and shared stories about our favorite toys. My dinosaur became an instant hit, joining the other animals in our fictional zoo.
As the day drew to a close, and parents began to arrive, I felt a warm glow of happiness. Oxford Kindergarten had become a place of wonder and friendship, a new chapter in my young life. Holding my dinosaur close, I couldn't wait to return and continue this adventure.
