Ella, a curious little girl with bouncy brown hair, wakes up to the chirping of birds outside. She jumps out of bed, her heart fluttering with excitement and nerves about her first day at school. The air is fresh, and the smell of pancakes wafts in from the kitchen.
"Today is the day! I can't wait to meet my teacher and make new friends,"
Mom, gentle and encouraging, helps Ella tie her shoes and double-check her backpack. Ella takes a deep breath as she puts on her favorite yellow sweater, feeling braver with each moment.
"You’re going to have a wonderful day, Ella. Remember to smile and be yourself,"
"I’ll try, Mom! I hope my teacher is nice,"
Ella holds Mom's hand tightly, her eyes wide as she sees other kids chatting and laughing. The school building stands in the distance, colorful flags fluttering above the entrance. The morning air feels full of possibility.
"Mom, look how big the school is! I wonder what’s inside,"
Ms. Harper, the friendly teacher with a gentle smile and sparkly earrings, welcomes Ella and shows her to her seat. Other children wave and introduce themselves, some shy, some excited. Ella notices a wall covered in drawings and a big calendar with fun stickers.
"Hello, Ella! We’re so glad you’re here. Today we’ll read stories and play games,"
"Hi, Ms. Harper. I love stories! I hope I make lots of friends,"
Liam, a boy with curly hair and a wide grin, sits next to Ella and offers her a bright blue crayon. The room hums with creativity as they draw pictures together, giggling and exchanging stories about their pets. Ella feels her nerves melt away.
"Do you want to draw a rocket ship with me, Ella?"
"Yes! And maybe a rainbow, too,"
Ella hugs Mom at the gate, her backpack now filled with drawings and memories. She beams with happiness, proud of her bravery and excited for another day. The school feels warm and welcoming, a place for dreams to grow.
"School was so much fun, Mom! I made a new friend and learned so much,"
"I’m proud of you, Ella. Tomorrow will be even better,"
