Oliver peered out from the car window, his eyes wide with both wonder and apprehension. The city was much larger and busier than his familiar London neighborhood. "It's so different here," he murmured to himself, feeling the butterflies flutter in his stomach.
Oliver stood by the door of his new classroom, clutching his backpack tightly. The teacher, Mrs. Johnson, smiled warmly. "Welcome to our class, Oliver," she said, gesturing for him to take a seat. He took a deep breath and walked to an empty desk.
Oliver wandered in during lunch break, drawn by the promise of stories. A particularly old book caught his attention, its cover depicting a ship sailing on tumultuous seas. "Wow, this looks exciting," he thought, pulling it from the shelf.
Oliver hesitated, then approached them. "Hi, I'm Lila. Do you want to join our book club?" She asked with a friendly grin. "We read adventure stories and talk about them," Ethan added, nodding enthusiastically. "I'd love to," Oliver replied, feeling a wave of relief and excitement.
Oliver collaborated with Lila and Ethan, sharing ideas and laughter. "I think this move was a good idea," Ethan said, glancing at Oliver. "Yeah, it just took some getting used to," Oliver replied, smiling.
Oliver sat on a bench, reflecting on his first week. "I never thought I'd find such great friends," he thought, feeling grateful. The city didn't seem so daunting anymore; it was starting to feel like home.
