Daddy leaned down with a warm smile, his eyes twinkling. "I have a surprise for you, Nyra," he announced. Nyra paused, her face lighting up with excitement. "What is it, Daddy?" she asked eagerly. "We are going on a vacation!" Nyra jumped with joy, clapping her hands. "That's amazing!"
Mummy helped Nyra out of the car, her face serene and happy. They spent the day exploring the garden, playing by the lake, and enjoying the gentle breeze. As the sun set, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink, they settled into the warmth of the house, feeling content and relaxed.
Suddenly, a loud thud echoed through the stillness, jolting Nyra awake. "What was that sound, Daddy? Mummy, I'm scared," she whispered, clutching her blanket tightly. Mummy gently reassured her. "We should not be scared. Let's check what the sound is all about," she said, her voice steady yet comforting.
Daddy grabbed a hockey stick, while Mummy picked up a glass bottle, their expressions determined. As they approached the small window, they spotted a thief trying to squeeze through. With courage swelling in her chest, Nyra picked up a racket, her small hand gripping it tightly. "We won't do anything if you leave the things and go," she said bravely.
The thief tried to scare them, but Nyra and her family moved as one, advancing with determination. Startled by their courage and unity, the thief realized his mistake. In a frantic scramble, he fled through the window, dropping what he had taken.
Daddy and Mummy hugged Nyra, their faces beaming with pride. "Well done, darling," said Mummy. "If you are brave and use your presence of mind, you can do anything," added Daddy. Nyra smiled, feeling proud and happy. She learned that bravery was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it.
