Oliver, a spirited and funny 10-year-old boy with curly hair and an infectious laugh, is sitting on a park bench with a notebook in hand. "I wonder why I get nervous sometimes," he mumbles to himself as he watches the other children play.
Oliver continues to ponder, scribbling notes in his notebook. "Maybe I should ask someone why," he thinks aloud. His eyes scan the park and settle on Mrs. Thompson, a kind elderly woman known for her wisdom.
Oliver approaches Mrs. Thompson with a grin. "Hi, Mrs. Thompson! Do you know why people get nervous sometimes?" he asks eagerly.
"Oh, Oliver, that's a wonderful question," Mrs. Thompson replies warmly. "Nerves can be a part of many things, like excitement or worry. But there are ways to calm them down, like taking deep breaths or thinking happy thoughts."
Oliver nods, considering Mrs. Thompson's advice. "I think I’ll try drawing or listening to music next time I feel nervous," he decides, feeling a little more at ease.
As Oliver walks home, he hums a tune to himself, feeling lighter with the knowledge he gained. "I can't wait to share this with my friends," he thinks, his heart full of hope and determination to help others find calmness too.
Oliver reaches his front door, turning back to take one last look at the starry sky. "Thanks, Mrs. Thompson," he whispers, feeling grateful for the newfound understanding and ready to face any nerves with a smile.
