Oliver stood beside the bike, his small hands gripping the handlebars tightly. His face was a mixture of excitement and apprehension as he looked at the daunting two-wheeler. His loyal companion, Cat, a playful golden retriever, wagged her tail enthusiastically beside him.
"Woof! Woof!" barked Cat, as if encouraging him to take the leap.
Oliver hesitated, his heart pounding with nerves. "I don't know if I can do it, Cat," he confessed, looking at his furry friend with uncertainty.
"Woof!" Cat nudged him gently with her nose, her eyes filled with trust and encouragement.
Oliver started to pedal, feeling a wobble beneath him. Cat trotted alongside, her presence a comforting force.
"Woof! Woof!" Cat barked, as if to say, "Keep going!"
"I'm trying, Cat! I'm trying!" Oliver replied, his voice a mix of laughter and concentration.
Oliver felt a sudden rush of freedom, his earlier doubts dissolving into joy. "I'm doing it, Cat! I'm really riding!" he shouted, the wind in his hair and a broad smile on his face.
"Woof!" barked Cat in agreement, her tail wagging furiously.
Oliver laughed, dropping to the ground next to Cat. "We did it! We really did it, Cat!"
Cat responded with a joyful bark and a playful nuzzle, her excitement a reflection of Oliver's triumph.
Oliver gazed at his bike, now a symbol of his newfound courage. "You were right, Cat," he whispered, scratching her behind the ears. "I just needed a little push."
Cat gave a contented sigh, her eyes closing in satisfaction, knowing she had helped her best friend discover the joy of riding free.
