Olivia stood by the door, holding her little backpack. She looked around, feeling a bit scared and curious. The classroom was so colorful and busy! She wasn’t sure what to do. Cody, a boy with a big smile, saw her. He waved and called out, "Hey! Want to come see the art corner?"
Olivia followed Cody to the art corner. She felt a bit better as she got closer to the fun supplies. The smell of paint and paper was nice.
"What do you like to draw?" Cody asked, giving her a brush.
"I don’t know," Olivia said softly.
"Let’s make something together," he said, dipping his brush in blue paint.
Olivia and Cody sat together, painting a bright picture with trees, animals, and a blue sky.
"This looks amazing," Olivia said, smiling as she drew a big sun.
"Maybe tomorrow we can add more animals," Cody said, his eyes shining with excitement.
Olivia felt happy and warm inside. She waved goodbye to Cody, feeling like she belonged.
"See you tomorrow, Olivia!" Cody called out, his voice cheerful.
The next day, Olivia walked into preschool feeling excited. She saw Cody by the art corner, and his face lit up when he saw her. "Ready for another adventure?" Cody asked, holding out a paintbrush like a superhero. "Definitely!" Olivia replied, her voice bright and happy.
