Koby sits at his desk, his eyes fixed on a math workbook. He frowns as he tries to solve a problem, tapping his pencil nervously. The room feels warm and safe, but the homework looks difficult.
Aaliyah walks over and sits next to Koby, her voice gentle but encouraging.
"Let’s look at the question together, Koby. We can do it step by step,"
Aaliyah breaks down each step, drawing pictures to help Koby understand. He listens carefully, nodding and asking questions when he is confused.
"Can you show me again how to do this part?"
Koby tries each problem on his own, making mistakes but refusing to give up. Aaliyah stays patient, helping even though she has her own work to finish.
"You are doing great. It’s okay to make mistakes. You are learning,"
Koby smiles and looks up at Aaliyah, feeling proud. The hard work is starting to pay off, and the room feels brighter.
"I did it, Aaliyah! Thank you for helping me,"
Aaliyah hugs Koby, glad to see her brother succeed. They know school can be tough, but working together makes it easier.
"We’ll keep going, one step at a time. I’m proud of you, Koby,"
