Peter is a curious and adventurous boy with a mop of brown hair and bright blue eyes. He hugs his knees, daydreaming about faraway lands and magical creatures.
"I wish something exciting would happen today," he whispers to the wind, watching clouds drift lazily across the sky.
The Purple Dragon is gentle-eyed, with shimmering lavender scales, a long tail tipped with silver, and wings that glint like amethyst in the light. He is curled up, reading a book with tiny spectacles perched on his snout.
"Hello? Is someone there?" Peter calls, nerves and excitement bubbling in his voice.
"Oh! Please don’t be frightened. My name is Dazzle, and I love stories," comes the friendly reply.
"You read books? I didn’t know dragons liked stories!"
"Oh yes, stories are my favorite. I’ve read every book in the dragon library, but I’ve never had a friend to share them with," Dazzle says, his tail curling with delight.
"Maybe we can be friends! I can bring you new books from the village," Peter offers, his face shining with hope.
"Would you like to see my favorite place in the whole forest?" Dazzle asks, spreading his sparkling wings.
"I’d love to! Lead the way!" Peter replies, following eagerly as Dazzle glides ahead, his scales shining in the dappled sunlight.
Peter sits beside Dazzle, marveling at the beauty around them.
"This is the most magical place I’ve ever seen," he says, eyes wide.
"Magic is everywhere when you believe in it—and when you have a friend to share it with," Dazzle replies warmly.
"Will I see you again, Dazzle?" Peter asks, reluctant to leave.
"Of course, friend. Come back any time you want to read, explore, or just share a story," Dazzle promises, his eyes twinkling.
Peter waves goodbye, his heart full of happiness, already dreaming of new adventures with his magical purple dragon friend.
