Mia and her best friend, Sophie, are enjoying a carefree afternoon, their laughter echoing as they playfully splash each other in the crystal-clear pool.
"Come on, Ethan! Join us!" calls Mia, noticing her younger brother lounging on a poolside chair, his expression a mixture of boredom and reluctance.
Ethan glances up, hesitating. Sophie, with her usual playful mischief, climbs out of the pool, droplets glistening on her sun-kissed skin.
"If you won't come willingly, we'll just have to make you," she teases, a mischievous grin spreading across her face.
"Hey, put me down!" Ethan laughs, his initial protest quickly turning to giggles as Sophie flings him into the water with a splash.
The water erupts around him, and Mia joins in the laughter, swimming over to ruffle her brother's wet hair.
Mia, Sophie, and Ethan engage in an impromptu water fight, their playful shouts mingling with the sounds of summer.
"I'll get you for that!" Ethan exclaims, his earlier reluctance forgotten as he splashes water toward Sophie.
Mia lifts Ethan onto her back, carrying him around the pool as he laughs and pretends to steer.
"You're getting heavy, Ethan!" she jokes, her affection clear in her voice.
Sophie takes her turn, carefully lifting Ethan onto her shoulders. Together, they wade through the shallow water, the last rays of sun reflecting off the pool.
"This was the best day," Ethan declares, his earlier reluctance a distant memory.
Mia and Sophie exchange a knowing smile, pleased to have turned the lazy afternoon into a perfect summer memory.
