Quackers, the little rubber duck, floated joyfully in his warm bathtub, surrounded by fluffy bubbles. The air was filled with the sweet scent of gingerbread, and he could hear Emma humming a cheerful Christmas tune. Noah was busy placing a bright star atop the tree, his face alight with concentration and excitement.
"It looks like a winter wonderland!" Quackers quacked in delight, his little rubber wings fluttering in the water. Though he didn’t fully grasp what Christmas was, the magic in the air was unmistakable.
"Look what we made for you, Quackers!" Noah exclaimed, holding up a tiny red scarf.
With gentle hands, Noah wrapped the scarf around Quackers' neck. The little duck quacked happily, feeling quite festive in his new accessory.
"Now you’re ready for Christmas!" Emma said, her smile as bright as the lights around them.
Emma and Noah sat beside the tub, sharing stories of the season with Quackers. "Christmas is a time for love, kindness, and sharing," Emma explained, her voice full of warmth.
"Will Santa bring something for me?" Quackers asked, his head tilting with curiosity.
"Santa knows you’re a good duck, Quackers! Maybe he’ll leave something special for you," Emma giggled, patting the little duck gently.
Quackers closed his eyes, imagining the jingle of sleigh bells and the soft thud of hooves on the rooftop. "I think Santa is on his way," he whispered to himself, embracing the magic of the night.
Emma and Noah rushed into the bathroom, their eyes wide with excitement. Under the tree, nestled among the ornaments, lay a tiny present wrapped in shiny paper.
Noah carefully opened the gift, revealing a small red rubber duck, a perfect companion for Quackers. "It’s your very own Christmas friend!" Emma exclaimed, her face aglow with happiness.
Quackers' eyes sparkled with joy as he quacked, "Merry Christmas, everyone!" The love and happiness surrounding him made it the most unforgettable celebration he could ever imagine.
