Sabrina sits cross-legged on the bed, her two afro puffs bouncing as she moves. She rubs her fuzzy blanket between her hands, breathing deeply and slowly. "My blanket feels like a hug," she whispers, pulling it tighter around her shoulders.
Sabrina presses her cheek to her favorite blanket, letting its fuzziness soothe her busy thoughts. She closes her eyes for a moment, feeling as if the blanket is a magic shield that keeps all the loud and busy feelings far away.
Olivia smiles shyly, holding up her treasure. "Sabrina, look! I brought pom-poms. We can make fuzzy animals today." She sits the bag down, letting pom-poms tumble across the bed.
"When everything gets loud or busy, my fuzzy blanket makes it quiet again," Sabrina says softly, her voice gentle. Olivia’s eyes light up as she reaches for a blue pom-pom. "That’s so cool! Maybe we can make a tiny fuzzy blanket for our pom-pom animals, too."
Olivia hands the pom-pom animal to Sabrina, who hugs it close. "When I touch something soft and fuzzy, all the busy thoughts fly away like butterflies. That’s why fuzzy things are magic hugs," Sabrina murmurs. Olivia giggles and snuggles closer, the two friends surrounded by their fluffy creations.
Sabrina knows her fuzzy blanket and friends will always help her feel safe and calm. Olivia realizes how a little fluff and love can turn a noisy world into a cozy, happy place. Whenever Sabrina wraps herself in her deep purple blanket with golden stars, it feels like a warm hug from a friendly cloud, making her brave and happy inside.
