Mamma Bear tucked Baby Bear into his warm, soft bed. The night was calm, but shadows danced on the cave walls, making Baby Bear feel uneasy. He hugged his favorite little branch, his eyes wide open.
"Mamma, the dark is so big. I feel a little scared," Baby Bear whispered, his small voice trembling. "Oh, my sweet bear, come here," Mamma Bear said softly, wrapping her big arms around him and holding him close.
"Close your eyes, little one. Let me tell you a bedtime dream," she murmured. "Can you see a big, beautiful garden in your mind? It is filled with red, pink, yellow, orange, purple, and blue flowers," she continued, her voice as gentle as the night breeze.
"The soft moonlight makes all the flowers glow. Look, sweet bear, the flowers are dancing and waving at the moon. They feel safe and loved in the gentle moonlight, just like you do in my arms," Mamma Bear whispered. "I see them, Mamma. The flowers are so happy and bright. The moon is smiling at them," Baby Bear said, a sleepy smile on his face.
"You are safe here, my little bear. I love you so much," Mamma Bear said, kissing him softly on his cheek. "I love you too, Mamma. I feel safe now," Baby Bear whispered, his voice a tiny yawn.
Mamma Bear gently wrapped her arms around Baby Bear, and together they drifted into a gentle sleep. The darkness outside could not reach them, for inside, they were safe, loved, and wrapped in each other’s arms.
