Sally pressed her nose to the glass, her big blue eyes wide with amazement. She watched as something small and shimmering tumbled out of the clouds and disappeared behind the garden shed. Heart pounding with excitement, she hurried to the door, pausing only long enough to slip on her sneakers.
Sally crept closer, curiosity overcoming her fear. She bent down, peering into the bush, and gasped as she spotted a small, round creature with twinkling eyes and a silvery sheen to its skin—Bloop, hiding and trembling.
"Don’t be scared! I won’t hurt you,"
"Glip-glop?" The creature’s voice was soft and musical.
"You can stay in the shed until I figure out what to do," Sally whispered, looking over her shoulder to make sure her parents weren’t watching.
Bloop[/@ch_2]’s silvery skin. Over the next few days, laughter and whispered conversations fill the small space.]
Sally shared cookies and showed Bloop her favorite picture books. They invented games, drawing glowing constellations in the dust with their fingers. Soon, they became inseparable, and Sally found herself sneaking away every chance she got.
"You are my best earth friend," Bloop chimed, his eyes lighting up.
"And you’re mine," Sally replied, grinning.
Bloop[/@ch_2] reveals a hidden portal: a swirling window of stars. Sally, bundled in her warmest jacket, slips out under the cover of darkness.]
They step together into the portal, finding themselves on strange planets—one with purple trees and floating rivers, another with candy-colored clouds. Together, they complete daring missions: collecting stardust, rescuing tiny space creatures, and fixing a broken crystal heart at the center of Bloop’s home planet. No matter how wild the adventure, Sally always checks her watch, making sure she’s home before sunrise so her parents don’t discover her secret.
Bloop[/@ch_2]’s planet darkens, swirling with ominous shadows. The alien city trembles, its towers flickering between light and darkness. Bloop looks to Sally, his eyes wide with fear.]
"My planet is in big trouble, Sally. The Heart Crystal is fading and there’s no more hope,"
"We can fix it together—I know we can!"
With courage and cleverness, Sally remembers a trick from her science class, using mirrors to reflect light into the crystal. The planet bursts back into color, the shadows fleeing.
Bloop[/@ch_2] hands Sally a small, glowing ball that pulses with a gentle purple light. The air hums with emotion as they hug goodbye.]
"This gift will keep us connected, always,"
"I’ll never forget you, Bloop," Sally promises, tucking the glowing ball deep into her backpack before slipping quietly back into her house.
"Hi Sally! It’s me, Bloop. Are you there?"
"I’m here, Bloop! I’m always here," Sally answers, her heart full of joy, knowing their friendship will last forever—even across the stars.
