Sambo wakes up early, excitement sparking in his eyes as he peers out the window. He quickly pulls on his favorite red cape, the fabric fluttering behind him as he dashes down the stairs. The smell of pancakes drifts from the kitchen, but adventure calls him outside.
Sambo spots Mrs. Green struggling with heavy grocery bags near her gate. He runs over, his red cape catching the sunlight. "Let me help you, Mrs. Green! Heroes always lend a hand," he says, grinning widely.
Sambo kneels down, tugging the wheel free and helping Mrs. Green carry her bags onto the porch. "You’re my hero today, Sambo," Mrs. Green says, giving him a warm smile. The cape seems to flutter with pride as Sambo waves goodbye.
Sambo rushes over, cape flowing behind him. "Don’t worry! I’ll help you fix it," he reassures her, inspecting the bent wheel. The girl’s eyes brighten as Sambo gently straightens the handlebars and checks the chain.
Sambo grins as the girl pedals away, waving in thanks. "Whenever you see someone in trouble, just call for Sambo! That’s what heroes do," he announces, and the children clap enthusiastically.
Sambo smiles, feeling proud of the small ways he’s helped his community. "Every day is an adventure when you care about others," he whispers to himself, the promise of more heroic deeds filling his dreams as the stars begin to appear.
