Sammy the squirrel dashed through the underbrush, his bushy tail flicking with excitement. Today was no ordinary day—today was the day of the Great Forest Race. Every animal in the woods had gathered near the old willow, eager to see who would claim the title of fastest in the forest.
Benny the rabbit, known for his speedy hops, eyed Sammy with a playful grin. Maggie the magpie, perched on a low branch, cawed out the rules for all to hear. "I’m ready for anything—I’ve been practicing all week!" "We’ll see about that, Sammy. May the fastest win!"
"On your marks... get set... GO!" In a blur of fur and feathers, the racers dart forward. Sammy zigzags between roots, his tiny paws barely touching the earth, while Benny leaps ahead in great bounds.
Sammy nimbly scampers over the log, but his foot slips on a slick patch of moss. He tumbles, heart pounding, while Benny vaults gracefully past him. "No time to give up now," Sammy muttered, picking himself up and dashing after the others.
Benny[/@ch_2] is in the lead, but suddenly he stumbles, caught by a sneaky tree root.]
Sammy hesitates for a heartbeat, then rushes to help. "Hold on, Benny! Let me help you up," "Thanks, Sammy. I guess speed isn’t the only thing that matters," Benny replies, brushing off leaves.
Together, Sammy and Benny cross the finish line, side by side, to a chorus of cheers. Maggie swoops down to announce the result. "It looks like we have two winners today—Sammy and Benny, for showing true sportsmanship!"
Sammy beams, his tail twitching with pride. Benny grins and nudges him playfully. "Best race ever," "Let’s do it again next year—maybe with even more friends!"
