Ms. Clara led the class to the art corner, where supplies awaited. Sammy watched intently as she demonstrated how to dip fingers into paint and press them onto paper, creating bright, cheerful handprints. Sammy hesitated for a moment, then dipped his fingers into a pool of blue paint. Carefully, he pressed his hand onto the paper, leaving a bright imprint. A smile spread across his face as he added more handprints, each one a gentle promise of friendship. Ava, a classmate with curly hair and a wide grin, leaned over.
