Sarah stretches and yawns as she sits up, her tousled hair catching the sunlight. On the floor, Cody, her loyal dog, perks his ears and wags his tail hopefully.
"Good morning, Cody! Ready for another adventure together?"
With a happy bark, Cody bounds to her side, his eyes shining with devotion.
Sarah holds Cody’s leash loosely, letting him sniff every flower and bush along the way. She grins as he stops to greet a passing dog, his tail wagging so fast it becomes a blur.
"You make friends everywhere we go, don’t you, Cody?"
Cody responds with a gentle nudge, leaning against her leg as if to say she’s his best friend.
Sarah[/@ch_1] enters, Cody trotting obediently at her heel.]
People smile and wave as they pass, accustomed to seeing the inseparable pair. Sarah settles into her favorite window seat, a stack of books beside her, while Cody curls up at her feet.
"Don’t worry, buddy. I’ll read this one out loud for both of us,"
she whispers, and Cody closes his eyes contentedly.
Sarah sits on the floor, building a puzzle as Cody presses close, his head resting in her lap. She strokes his soft fur, feeling his steady warmth chase away any worries.
"You always make the storm seem less scary, Cody. I’m so glad you’re here,"
she murmurs, and Cody licks her hand in reply.
Sarah sits curled on the couch with Cody beside her, a blanket wrapped around them both. She gazes out the window, lost in thought, while Cody sighs contentedly at her side.
"No matter where I go, I know you’ll always be with me. Thank you for being my best friend,"
she says softly, feeling a bond that words can barely describe.
Sarah[/@ch_1]’s bed, where Cody hops up and curls next to her. The world outside slumbers, but inside, hearts are full.]
Sarah hugs Cody close, her fingers entwined in his fur. She smiles, knowing that whatever tomorrow brings, they’ll face it together—faithful friends, side by side.
"Good night, Cody. We’ll have more adventures tomorrow,"
she whispers, and with Cody’s gentle breathing beside her, she drifts off to sleep.
