Sarah, a curious young girl with bright eyes and messy brown hair, tiptoes to the water’s edge. She holds a small net, her boots sinking softly in the muddy bank. As she peers into the pond, she notices tiny ripples dancing across the surface.
Finny, the little fish, swishes his tail nervously, watching Sarah. Sarah crouches lower, careful not to scare him away. "Hello there, little fish! My name is Sarah. Don’t be afraid—I just want to be friends," she says gently, her voice barely above a whisper.
Finny circles closer, his confidence growing with every word. "I’ve never had a friend above the water before," he replies, his voice bubbling like laughter. Sarah smiles, dipping her fingers in the cool water. "If you show me your favorite place in the pond, I’ll bring you a special treat tomorrow," she promises.
Finny leads Sarah along the edge, showing her a patch of soft moss where he likes to rest. "This is my secret garden," he says, his eyes shining with pride. Sarah giggles, delighted by the underwater world she never knew existed.
Sarah waves goodbye to Finny, her heart full of happiness. "I’ll come back tomorrow with your treat, I promise! Thank you for showing me your home," she calls, stepping carefully back up the grassy bank. Finny flicks his tail in reply, already dreaming of their next adventure.
Sarah skips home, eager to tell her family about her new friend and the special secret garden beneath the water. Both Sarah and Finny look forward to many more magical days by the pond, sharing stories and discovering the beauty of their small world together.
