Aisha, a tiny bundle wrapped in a pastel pink blanket, lay in her crib, her eyes wide with wonder. Her grandmother, Teta, sat beside her, her voice a gentle whisper as she began to share stories of faith. Teta"Aisha, my dear, today I will tell you about the beautiful pillars of Islam, she said, her voice as soothing as a lullaby. "These are the things that will guide you throughout your life."
Teta"The first pillar is Shahada, the declaration of faith," she explained, her eyes twinkling with love. "We believe in Allah, the one true God, and in His messenger, Prophet Muhammad." she cooed softly, her tiny hands reaching towards the ceiling as if trying to grasp the words floating in the air.
Teta continued, "Then comes Salah, the daily prayers. Five times a day, we pause and connect our hearts to Allah." She mimicked the motions of prayer, her hands gracefully moving to show Aisha the beauty of this practice.
"It is like a conversation with Allah, a moment of peace and gratitude," she added, her voice filled with reverence.
Teta"Now, let me tell you about Sawm, fasting during the holy month of Ramadan," she said, pausing to smile at Aisha's attentive gaze. "We fast from dawn till sunset, learning patience and compassion for others." Aisha gurgled in response, her eyes reflecting the gentle wisdom in her grandmother's words.
Teta"Zakat is the next pillar, dear Aisha," she continued, "It is about giving to those in need, sharing our blessings." Her hands cradled Aisha's, as if passing down the essence of charity and kindness. "It teaches us to care for one another, to be generous and loving," she added, a soft smile playing on her lips.
Teta"And finally, there is Hajj, the pilgrimage to Mecca," she said, her voice filled with awe. "It is a journey of faith, a gathering of believers from all over the world." Aisha, now drifting to sleep, seemed to nestle deeper into her blanket, comforted by the stories of faith. Teta leaned closer, her voice a soft whisper, "These, my sweet Aisha, are the pillars of Islam. May they guide you and fill your heart with peace and love."
