Shivansh, a cheerful two-year-old with a mop of dark curls, is already up and about, clutching his favorite plush elephant. He toddles over to Dhara, his mother, who is sitting cross-legged on the floor, surrounded by colorful building blocks. "Good morning, my sunshine! Did you sleep well?" Shivansh beams and nods vigorously, plopping into her lap with a giggle.
Satish, Shivansh’s father, pours a glass of milk and slides it towards his son. "Are you ready for a fun day, champ?" Shivansh claps his hands, eyes shining, while Dhara laughs and breaks off a piece of paratha for him. The family shares laughter and gentle chatter, the warmth of their bond palpable in the cozy kitchen.
Elvin, Shivansh’s beloved aunty, arrives with a cheerful wave and a bag of surprises. "Who wants to play catch with me?" Shivansh squeals with delight, racing towards her, while Dhara and Satish settle onto a garden bench, smiling at the sight of their son’s joy.
Elvin covers her eyes, counting loudly, while Shivansh tiptoes behind a bush, giggling uncontrollably. "Aunty Elvin will never find me here!" he whispers to himself, peeking through the leaves as Elvin pretends to search high and low, her laughter echoing across the garden.
Shivansh curls up in Dhara’s lap, thumb in mouth, eyes drooping with contentment. "You had so much fun today, didn’t you?" she whispers, stroking his hair. Satish sits nearby, watching with a gentle smile as Elvin reads softly from a picture book, her voice weaving gentle dreams.
Elvin kneels to hug Shivansh tightly, promising to return soon. "Sleep well, my little star. We’ll play again tomorrow," she says, brushing a kiss on his forehead. As night falls, Shivansh snuggles between Dhara and Satish, his heart full of love and laughter from a perfect day.
