Mia sighed contentedly, sinking deeper into the plush cushions. She loved this time of day, when she could unwind and indulge in her favorite series. The house was quiet, a serene backdrop to her entertainment.
"Hey, Jason! Ready for your ride?" Mia called out, her eyes still fixed on the screen.
"Do we have to do this every day?" Jason replied, feigning annoyance, though a smile tugged at his lips.
Jason knew he had to act fast. With Mia distracted, this was his chance to turn the tables. He snuck into her room, determination written all over his face.
Jason gingerly lifted Mia, managing to support her weight for a few breathless moments. But the effort proved too much. "Whoa, you're heavier than I thought!" he gasped, setting her down gently.
"Looks like you need some more training," Mia teased, ruffling his hair affectionately. Jason felt a mixture of embarrassment and determination, vowing silently to surprise her one day.
"Alright, little brother, time for your ride," Mia declared, carrying him across the room with ease. Jason laughed, his earlier embarrassment forgotten, as they returned to their comfortable routine.
