Simeona sat at her little wooden table, her feet swinging above the floor. Her eyes sparkled with curiosity as she gazed out the window, wondering what adventures might await her today. The scent of pancakes drifted from the kitchen, and she smiled, eager to greet the new day with kindness.
Simeona hopped off her chair, walked into the kitchen, and found her mother preparing breakfast. She approached with a polite smile. "Good morning, Mom! May I help you set the table?" Her mother beamed with pride, handing her a stack of napkins. Simeona carefully placed each napkin beside a plate, humming a little tune.
Simeona arrived with her favorite red ball, spotting a group of children playing tag. She noticed a smaller boy sitting alone on a bench, watching the others. "Hello! Would you like to play with me?" she asked gently, offering a warm smile. The boy’s eyes lit up, and together they joined the fun, laughter ringing out between them.
When a little girl accidentally dropped her snack, Simeona quickly picked it up and handed it back with a kind word. "Here you go! It’s always nice to help friends," she said, her tone gentle and sincere. The girl smiled gratefully, and Simeona made sure everyone was included in the picnic, offering her own cookies to anyone without one.
As she gathered her things, Simeona thanked her friends for a wonderful day. "Thank you for playing with me! I had so much fun," she said, waving goodbye with a bright smile. The other children waved back, their hearts warmed by her kindness and politeness.
Simeona snuggled under her blanket, thinking about all the ways she had used kind words and polite manners. She knew that even small acts could make a big difference. With a contented sigh, she whispered to herself, "Tomorrow, I will be just as polite and kind, because that’s how I want to make the world better."
